There is power in your senses.
There is wisdom in your empty spaces.
There is knowing in your bones.
In a world full of noise—distractions, influences, and endless advice—no one can step into those quiet inner spaces you hold. No one can meet the parts of you that most need to be seen and heard. Except you.
This space is yours, created for just that: to journey across the threshold, to step into the liminal places, and experience what only you can experience. This space is created and held with immense gratitude and wonder.
Come, the door is open for you.
This is your invitation.
Journey with The Liminal
liminal {adjective}
1 of, relating to, or situated at a sensory threshold.
2 of, relating to, or being in an in-between space, state, or phase.
................................................................................
The Liminal is an invitation to step into the space between — where stillness sparks discovery and tranformation unfolds.
Using reiki, sound, and somatic practices, we will create a space together for you to rest in the transition, explore the edges of self, and emerge with clarity and connection to what you truly need.
The Foundations
These principles are the heartbeat of The Liminal—the foundation of every offering and the modes of transportation in my own healing journey. Each reflects a truth I've experienced: the power of a calm nervous system to bring me back to the present; the freedom found in radical acceptance of self and others; the courage required to meet myself with careful compassion; and the momentum sparked by small, purposeful steps. Together, they create the space for transformation—inviting you to step into your own journey with intention, grace, and possibility.
Nervous System Regulation
Our nervous system is the foundation for how we experience the world. Research in polyvagal theory highlights how a regulated nervous system fosters safety and connection, enabling us to respond to challenges with calm and intention. Practices like breathwork, somatic movement, and mindfulness help shift the nervous system from a state of fight-or-flight to one of rest and restoration, promoting emotional resilience and well-being. In the stillness of a calm nervous system, clarity emerges. By quieting the noise and finding balance, we create space to connect with ourselves, respond with intention, and move through the world with a grounded sense of ease.
Radical Acceptance Theory
Radical acceptance theory, a cornerstone of Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), has been shown to reduce emotional distress by helping individuals acknowledge reality without resistance. Studies indicate that accepting difficult emotions or situations can decrease suffering and open the door to greater mental flexibility, fostering personal freedom and healthier decision-making. Freedom begins with radical acceptance—of yourself and your journey. When we embrace what is, without judgment, we open the door to what could be, stepping into a life of authenticity and possibility.
Intuition and Self-Compassion
Research by Dr. Kristin Neff and others demonstrates that self-compassion—treating ourselves with the same kindness we’d offer a friend—can lower anxiety and depression, enhance emotional resilience, and foster a deeper understanding of self. By embracing who we are without judgment, we create space for growth and healing, as supported by evidence in self-compassion and mindfulness-based interventions. To truly know yourself is an act of courage; to meet that understanding with compassion is an act of love. In this space, we honor the messy, beautiful, and complex pieces of who you are, creating room for growth and gentle transformation.
Behavioral Activation
Behavioral activation, a therapy approach rooted in cognitive-behavioral science, emphasizes taking small, purposeful actions to combat inertia and improve mood. Studies show that engaging in meaningful activities boosts self-efficacy—the belief in one’s ability to influence outcomes—and strengthens neural pathways associated with motivation, fostering a sense of agency and empowerment. Action sparks momentum, and momentum builds confidence. By taking intentional steps, no matter how small, you strengthen your trust in yourself and your ability to shape the life you envision.
